We had a hiking style pre-wedding session in Kamikochi, a popular mountain resort in the Northern Japan Alps of Nagano.

 

It offers you the emerald green forest and crystal clear rivers, largely untouched by human.

 

Private cars are banned from Kamikochi, and access in only possible by bus or taxi.  So if we spend a day for the photo session, we use the simplest way, by hiking the trails along Azusa River for about 5 - 10km.  Yes, it is a long walk, but when you felt the vivid colors of nature, the couple just never got tired.
